Just got back from a great weekend shoot in the mountains and woods of western Maine. It was the first narrative feature film I've worked on (can't share any details on the project as it's still in production).
On Set- with an Acrobat
Another shoot with my Red Epic last week with the guys at p3. It was a fun shoot with an acrobat from Cirque du soleil who was awesome.
We had the epic on a jib arm on a dolly/tracks for a lot of the shoot. For glass we used some older Zeiss CP1s (34mm, 50mm and 85mm) and a Nikon 28mm, all closed down a bit to f4.5, ISO 800 and an exact 3200k since all the lighting was with the stage lights at Portland Stage.
The Redmote ended up coming in handy quite a bit while we were doing some dolly shots, as the job was a bit wobbly and it was easier to hit record without adding any shake to the moves.
